MUSEUMNACHT010

Museumnacht010 takes place on Saturday 4 March 2017 at more than forty locations all over Rotterdam. All museums and cultural institutions taking part are open from 8.00 p. m. until 1.00 a. m., offering a programme full of entertaining extras that provide a slightly different view of Rotterdam. A unique opportunity to take a nocturnal ramble through all the art and culture Rotterdam has to offer!

WHERE AND HOW CAN I BUY A TICKET?

Tickets can be purchased prior to Museumnacht010 through our website. It’s easy to pay online with iDeal, VISA or Mastercard. Tip: act fast and you can still benefit from the Early Bird discount.

You can buy offline as well: from Thursday 2 March you can purchase your ticket from the ticket desks at the following locations:

• Rotterdam Info Schielandshuis (9.30 am. -6.00 p.m.)
• Rotterdam Info Centraal Station (9.00 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.)
• Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (11.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.) (also during the night between 7.30 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.)
• Het Nieuwe Instituut (10.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.) (also during the night between 7.30 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.)
• Het Nederlands Fotomuseum (10.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. and sat + sun: 11.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.) (also during the night between 7.30 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.)

During Museumnacht010 itself you can purchase your between 7.30 p.m. and 23.00 p.m. at one of the museum venues in the list above (provided we haven’t sold out). Please note: this is only possible between 7.30 p.m. and 11.00 p.m.!

Exchange: You must swap your ticket for a wristband during Museumnacht010: it is the only valid form of admission to all locations, so print out your ticket and bring it with you.

You can also swap your ticket for a wristband at one of the museum venues listed above. We scan the tickets at the door and swap your ticket for a wristband. If you want to buy your ticket at one of the locations on the evening itself, you will be given a wristband straight away.

You can swap your ticket for a wristband at these locations:

During Museumnacht010 itself you can also swap your ticket for a wristband at one of the museum venures listed above, between 7.30 p.m. and 11.00 p.m.

This wristband will be your ticket and your official form of admission to Museumnacht010, and will give you access to all the museums and institutions taking part. Remember to print out your ticket and bring it with you. We’ll scan the tickets at the door of one of the museum venues listed above, and then swap your ticket for a wristband.

If you want to save time, from Thursday 2 March you can exchange your ticket for a wristband at one of the venues listed above, during their opening hours.

CAN MY TICKET ALSO BE SCANNEND FROM MY MOBILE PHONE?

No, because we want to retain all tickets for our records. Please print out your ticket and bring it with you.

IS MY TICKET VALID EVERYWHERE?

Yes, your ticket is valid at all participating venues from 8.00 p.m. on 4 March to 1.00 a.m. next day. To see the full list of institutions taking part, check the map.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL DISCOUNTS?

Yes! The normal price for a ticket is € 17.50, but the following prices apply to visitors in these groups:

Early Birds: €12.50
Children (up to and including the age of 12): €7.50
CJP pass holders: €12.50

Choose the discount that applies to you in the ticket shop.

N.B. Have you got a CJP pass? Don’t forget to bring it with you, we need to check it when we scan your ticket! Children up to and including the age of 12 can be asked for a proof of their age.

WHAT ARE THE TIMES FOR MUSEUMNACHT010?

Museumnacht010 starts at 8.00 p.m. on 4 March and officially ends at 1.00 a.m. next morning.

IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORT DURING THE NIGHT?

Yes, your ticket entitles you to free Museumnacht010 bus travel. Many of the venues are also within easy walking or cycling distance of one another.

When the Erasmus bridge is a bridge too far for you, you can take a Mini! The Nederlands Fotomuseum will bring you to the museum in their own Mini Coopers. The boarding station is near Boijmans van beuningen. It’s for free!

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER FOR SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AT PARTICIPATING INSTITUTIONS?

In principle, no. If this does become the case we will clearly state the activity concerned on the website.

IS MY MUSEUM CARD VALID FOR MUSEUMNACHT010?

No, your Museum Card is not valid for Museumnacht010. This is because the participating institutions are not all museums. However, your CJP pass is valid.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN TO MUSEUMNACHT010?

Certainly! They even get a generous discount. There are plenty of activities that kids will love. See the programme.

WHO ORGANIZES MUSEUMNACHT010?

Museumnacht010 is organized by all the participating institutions. They put together their own programmes and collaborate in all kinds of areas to show what Rotterdam has to offer in the way of art and culture. There is no overall governing body; Museumnacht010 is directed by a small coordinating project team.
